Changing preferred payment dates

Direct debits are on the same day.

You can only select your preferred payment date when purchasing your first policy. Your payment will then be requested on that date every month, but may take up to three working days to be processed.

When you purchase a policy from easyinsure and you choose to pay by direct debit you can choose your preferred payment date for payments to be withdrawn from your bank account. A payment schedule will be posted to you once the direct debit has been successfully setup. If you do not receive a copy of this schedule you will have to contact us.

You will have to contact us to clear any arrears on your account.

How to pay for your insurance

You have a choice of two ways to pay for your insurance:

  • Pay the full amount in one go by credit or debit card.
  • Split the payments over easy monthly instalments (subject to certain criteria).

If you choose to save money now and spread your payments over the year, an initial payment is required by credit or debit card to start the policy, followed by equal monthly instalments by direct debit. Doing this may cost a little extra, but it can be a lot more convenient.

How to set up your direct debit

You can set up monthly payments in an instant.

You can arrange to pay by direct debit when you get a quote online. Choose this payment method, input your details on the secure website, and the money will be taken from your account on or around the same day each month. Easy.

Late Payments

Pay late and you could lose your policy.

If you don't pay on time, we don't cancel your policy immediately. We like to give you the opportunity to correct this.

Don't wait too long as failure to pay will ultimately result in cancellation of your policy and you could be liable for further costs.

Upon cancellation, you will need to declare that you will destroy all copies of the Certificate of Motor Insurance relating to your policy within seven days.

Paying with someone else's credit card

Another person can pay for you policy.

You can pay for your car insurance using someone else's credit or debit card. Result! You have to have permission from the card holder, and it has to be a card we accept.

You can make your payment online. It's secure, and it saves you time and money.

You can claim your refund - unless you've made a claim.

We will not refund your premium if there has been a claim on your policy.

When we take credit card payments

Pay for your cover in an instant with a credit or debit card.

If you pay for your insurance by credit or debit card, we take the payment as soon as you press the 'Buy' button.

When we take direct debit payments

Choose the day you want to pay, with direct debit we'll do the rest.

You can choose your preferred payment date when you buy your insurance online. You start your cover with an initial deposit by credit or debit card. We'll then set up your monthly direct debit for the payment date you've requested. But it may take up to three working days for the money to leave your bank account.
